Schools need a constant supply of well trained, qualified, committed and motivated teachers to secure the best possible outcomes for their pupils. These pupils are going to be the driving force of our economy in the very near future as they enter the workforce. Every pupil deserves and needs great teachers. But the supply of teachers is rapidly drying up.
TEACHER RECRUITMENT CRISIS
The Graduate Teaching Scheme (GTS) scheme has been established, specifically, to address the teacher crisis in England. It achieves this by sourcing and attracting a pool of graduates who for, one reason or another, are not attracted to existing routes in to teaching.
